- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- Fresh basil leaves, chopped

- Mix and Let Sit: Gently toss the mixture to combine all the ingredients. Let it sit for 15 minutes at room temperature. This resting time allows the flavors to meld and enhances the overall taste.

- Preheat the Oven or Grill: If using an oven, preheat it to 400°F (200°C). If you prefer grilling, preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Slice the Bread: Cut the baguette or crusty Italian bread into 1/2-inch thick slices. You can slice diagonally for a more appealing presentation.
- Arrange on a Baking Sheet: Place the slices on a baking sheet in a single layer. If grilling, arrange them on the grill grates.
- Drizzle with Olive Oil: Lightly brush or drizzle olive oil on one side of each bread slice. This will help achieve a nice golden color and add flavor.
- Toast:
- In the Oven: Bake the bread for about 5-7 minutes, or until it’s golden brown and crispy. Keep an eye on it to prevent burning.
- On the Grill: Grill for about 2-3 minutes per side, checking frequently to ensure they don’t burn. You want them to have grill marks and a crunchy texture.
