Ingredients
-
For the Base:
- 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
-
For the Topping:
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
Direction
-
Prepare the Base:
- In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, powdered sugar, melted butter, and peanut butter. Mix until well combined.
- Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of an 8×8-inch (or similar size) baking dish, creating an even layer.
-
Make the Topping:
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and 2 tablespoons of butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
-
Assemble:
- Pour the melted chocolate over the peanut butter base, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
-
Chill:
- Place the baking dish in the refrigerator for about 1 hour, or until the chocolate is set.
-
Serve:
- Once chilled and set, cut the bars into squares or rectangles. Enjoy!
Tips:
- Storage: Keep leftover bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
- Add-ins: Consider adding chopped nuts, mini marshmallows, or even a sprinkle of sea salt on top for extra flavor.
